PROJECTS

Sakya Monastery Project Funding List
Everything that happens at Sakya Monastery is dependent upon the generosity and devotion of members, friends, and well-wishers. Here is the current list of projects where your donation would make a big difference.

  • Pay for creation of life-size statues of the Sakya Monastery Protector Deities: Mahakala and Maksor Gyalmo.
  • Fund a new Tara Meditation Center building that will house up to 12 overnight retreatants.
  • Upgrade the old and inefficient Sakya Monastery bath room - toilets, piping, tile floor.
  • Install more insulation to save heating expenses.
  • Upgrade the old wiring for safety reasons.
  • Replace the fraying rugs on the stairs going up to the Shrine room.
  • Install an automatic cut-off gas valve and secure unstable items in case of an earthquake.
  • Acquire a defibrillator in the event of a heart attack at Sakya Monastery.
  • Maintain and complete the Sakya Monastery library.
  • Sponsor the translation and creation of prayer and meditation texts.

Tax-deductible donations can be sent to:
