PROJECTS
Sakya Monastery Project Funding List
Everything that happens at Sakya Monastery is dependent upon the generosity
and devotion of members, friends, and well-wishers. Here is the current list
of projects where your donation would make a big difference.
- Pay for creation of life-size statues of the Sakya Monastery Protector Deities: Mahakala and Maksor Gyalmo.
- Fund a new Tara Meditation Center building that will house up to 12 overnight retreatants.
- Upgrade the old and inefficient Sakya Monastery bath room - toilets, piping, tile floor.
- Install more insulation to save heating expenses.
- Upgrade the old wiring for safety reasons.
- Replace the fraying rugs on the stairs going up to the Shrine room.
- Install an automatic cut-off gas valve and secure unstable items in case of an earthquake.
- Acquire a defibrillator in the event of a heart attack at Sakya Monastery.
- Maintain and complete the Sakya Monastery library.
- Sponsor the translation and creation of prayer and meditation texts.
