Samsara is the recurring pattern of birth, death and rebirth in which all sentient beings are trapped. Buddhist teachings are designed to teach us how to escape from this vicious cycle and attain Nirvana, the cessation of suffering. Yet, Samsara and Nirvana are not separate; they are indivisible. How can this be? The answer is realized through deep and regular spiritual practice. Within the Sakya tradition, the Lamdre teachings (The Three Visions and The Triple Tantra) and the daily Hevajra spiritual practice are the Path to attaining Nirvana and enlightenment (the Result), in the most efficient and effective manner.
H.H. Sakya Trizin has bestowed the Lamdre teachings numerous times. In this special Dharma talk and guided meditation session, H.H. Sakya Trizin will not only discuss the Sakya view on Samsara and Nirvana, he will also lead the group in several short meditations that will enable the attendees to experience the Lamdre teachings and meditations, first hand.
