Mahakala is one of the most revered Tibetan protector deities. His purpose is to protect the Dharma and to help in overcoming negative obstacles on one’s path to enlightenment.
These prayers are to bring closure to the year of the Dragon and help prepare an auspicious beginning to the year of the Snake. The prayers will be in Tibetan without texts for members to follow along with. However, during the Puja members may recite the 100 Syllable Mantra and/or the Mahakala Mantra.
