Khenpo Jampa Rinpoche will give an introduction to the Sakya view, which is the inseparability of Samsara and Nirvana. This will be done through helping us understand how to practice the path with its fruit (Lamdre). He will introduce us to how the Buddhadharma is taught in the unexcelled Sakya tradition.
Khenpo Jampa Tenphel Rinpoche comes to us from Dzongsar University in India, where he was the library director and tutor for many years. He received a Degree of Acharya (equivalent to an M.A.) in Buddhist Philosophy in 2002 and was ordained as an Abbot in 2004. He has received many teachings and initiations from all four sects of Tibetan Buddhism (Sakya, Gelug, Kagyu, Nyingma), including many from H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. Sakya Trizin, H.H. Dagchen Rinpoche and H.H. Karmapa. At the Virupa Educational Institute, Khen Rinpoche teaches intermediate and advanced level curriculum on Buddhist philosophy, highest yoga tantra and sutra.
