Regarded as the beloved Patron Buddha of Tibet, Chenrezi (known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit) is the embodiment of enlightened compassion. The meditation on his sublime form, sacred mantra and enlightened mind has been favored for well over a thousand years in Tibet for awakening the same liberating love and understanding within ourselves. Avikrita Rinpoche will bestow the initiation of the four-armed Chenrezi that is practiced twice weekly at Sakya Monastery. This Initiation is ideal for newcomers wishing to join Thursday and Sunday group practice and for those who would like to strengthen their current practice.
