10:00am Chenrezi, with Special Prayers and Manja (In-Person)

Chenrezi is the Bodhisattva or Deity of loving kindness and compassion. The Chenrezi service and meditation is the central spiritual practice at Sakya Monastery. It is very easy to practice and enables you to develop loving kindness and compassion in your life. During the Sunday service, we do the following practices: A Praise of the Twelve Exemplary Deeds of Lord Buddha; the Heart Sutra, and the Chenrezi practice itself where we meditate on the body, speech and mind of Chenrezi.
This week we will also add special prayers and a food offering manja sponsored by Nyima Chodrak and Tse Drolkar’s family for the passing of Drawu Pon, former leader of Gapa province, Tibetan parliament representative and grandfather of Khondungs Avikrita Rinpoche and Abhaya Rinpoche.

In-Person COVID Protocol:
1. If you have any symptoms such as nasal congestion, scratchy throat, headache or other cold symptoms, kindly refrain from entering the Monastery.
2. All visitors must be masked with an approved surgical, KF-94, KN-95 or N-95 mask (best protection), covering the mouth and nose at all times, regardless of test results. This is best practice to protect yourself and others. The Sakya Monastery provides these at the main entrance.
3. Full vaccination is not required, however it is highly recommended.
