What are the four classes of Tantra? What do they have in common? What are the differences? In this forthcoming course for Sakya Monastery, Khenpo Jampa will answer all these questions and more. The Tantras are the esoteric teachings of Buddhism, also known as the “swift path” for achieving full awakening if learned and applied correctly. In the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and according to the General Systemization of the Tantras by Sonam Tsemo, the Vajrayana teachings and practices are categorized in the four classes of tantra. It is therefore vital that dedicated practitioners aspiring for the benefits of the Vajrayana path to learn the respective view, meditation, and conduct of the four classes of Tantra. Khenpo Jampa will give practitioners an in-depth overview of the key features of the four classes based on the classic texts of the Sakya tradition that will enrich the understanding of newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike.
