All are welcome. Sakya Pandita’s memorial is held on the 14th day of the 11th lunar month of the Tibetan calendar. He was the fourth of the Five Founding Fathers of Sakya. He knew Sanskrit as a child without being taught. As a teenager, he recalled the teachings of the Abhidharmakosha from a previous lifetime. Sakya Pandita was known as a formidable philosophical debater and writer. He authored more than 100 texts and was also a prolific translator from Sanskrit. Sakya Pandita is not only a renowned Sakya master but his glorious wisdom is also revered by all sects of Tibetan Buddhism.
