There is no fee for the Refuge Ceremony, but instructions on making offerings to the Shrine, Lama and attendants will be shared with those who sign up for Refuge.
It is strongly recommended that those who are interested in the Refuge Ceremony take the Zoom classes The Significance of Taking Refuge (Monday, 3/22) and Life after Refuge (Tuesday, 4/05).
Taking refuge is the first step on the Buddhist path to enlightenment. Refuge is a ceremony during which a person formally becomes a Buddhist and receives a Dharma name. This differs from the passive refuge one receives at an initiation. All participants must register in advance. For more information or to sign-up, please email email@example.com.
