H.H. Jigdal Dagchen Dorje Chang (1929 – 2016) was the Head of the Sakya Phuntsok Phodrang Palace of the Glorious Khön lineage. In 1984, he established the Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism in Seattle. He was a renowned Sakya and non-sectarian master of Tibetan Buddhism who continued the unbroken lineage of blessings and initiations going back to the time of the Buddha.
On this occasion, we will commemorate his birthday by reciting the Guru Puja practice in Tibetan, and pray for his swift rebirth.
